Think of the Clark County District Court system like a large school divided into different classrooms. Each "classroom" is called a Department, and it is run by its own judge. Department Z is a specific courtroom that focuses entirely on Family Law.
Instead of dealing with business lawsuits or criminal trials, the judge in Department Z handles deeply personal issues that affect the safety and futures of local children, including:
